Set within a carefully preserved piece of Oakland’s architectural history, Oaktown Roost blends original detailing with fresh, modern design. Bird-inspired touches throughout the space nod to the name, a welcoming nest in the heart of the city.
Please note: Oaktown Roost is housed in a historic building so there is no elevator on site. All rooms, except our accessible room, are located on the second floor and guests will need to walk up our grand stairway with 29 steps to reach the rooms.

The Front Room
Our lobby is open daily from 8am to 11pm. We offer freshly brewed coffee, cozy seating, and a snack bar with bites and refreshments for purchase. Whether you’re coming or going, it’s a welcoming space to pause, recharge, and feel at home.
